During the beginning stages of the Covid-19 lockdown, I decided I needed a project to keep me busy. I had always had an interest in Tarot cards, so I decided to dive a little deeper, learn about the history of the Tarot, and design my own deck.

The images depicted on the 78 cards of the deck were created using a collection of pieces of real ephemera, along with analog illustration, and images pulled from several open-source online museum archives. I collected, dissected, re-colored, manipulated & layered this raw source material to create The Anthropologist Tarot.

Each deck comes with a 40-page booklet containing interpretations of the cards and instructions for performing four styles of Tarot readings, as well as a clamshell deck case.
